COVID Vaccine Pharmacist Manager (Band 8a)

Job Title – COVID Vaccine Pharmacist Manager (Band 8a) – 4 Months

Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) recently published guidance on COVID 19 booster vaccinations for Autumn 2022.

The role will provide operational oversight of pharmacy support including staff management, vaccine logistics, incident review and supporting with daily huddles and team meetings. The role will extend to include national SitRep reporting and oversight of the governance arrangements in place to maintain safe working practices. The role will also support with operational delivery using both PGD and National Protocol model, overseeing dilutions, providing volume checks and maintaining cold chain of products. Management of inventory and ordering will be key to supporting a successful programme.

The role will predominately operate Monday to Friday but there may be some weekend shifts on rota to support the service. As the service becomes established the role may extend to support inpatient vaccination and so some clinical exposure may be possible.

Our registration requirements...

A minimum of 1 year experience working in a clinical role

Valid Pin Proof of immunisations

Current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service

At least 3 years employment reference history
