If so, Quality Locum Solutions have a wonderful opportunity for a locum ANP to cover day duties in Urgent Care Centred based in Saltley Birmingham. We are looking for a Specialist ANP and will pay you a very favourable hourly rate for your skills and experience - Advanced Nurse Practitioners are autonomous in making decisions based on assessment, diagnosis and interpretation of test results. ANPs are able to independently prescribe appropriate medication, evaluate or refer to other specialists if necessary. This role will involve independently prescribing, leading the triage model of care within the Centre and undertaking telephone consultation and advice calls. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
·Work autonomously and be accountable for own professional actions.
·Undertake telephone triage work and telephone advice calls.
·Undertake clinical nursing practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills.
·Assess undifferentiated patients with a range of acute, non-acute and chronic medical conditions.
·Take history, make appropriate physical examinations, formulate differential diagnoses and carry through management treatment plans ensuring relevant follow up.
·Prescribe medication and treatment in accordance with NMC guidelines.
·Report, discuss and refer areas on clinical uncertainty with on-call GP, secondary care, or partner organisations.
·Review and action patient letters/discharges/results.
·Respond to administrative/clinical queries.
·Part 1 of the NMC Register.
·Extensive post registration experience.
·Nurse Practitioner Qualification.
·Independent Prescribing certificate.
·Experience of primary care preferable.
·Recognised NP qualification at Masters level or equivalent
·Current registration with the NMC
·Minimum of 4 years post registration experience
·Must hold a current prescribing certificate.
·Have very good communication skills and work well in a team.
