Band 7 Community Mental Health Practitioner
Quality Locum Solutions have partnered with Military Medical who are actively seeking a Band 7 Community Mental Health Practitioner to cover full time duties in one of their Military Barracks based in South East London. This role will involve community work within the confines of the military barracks, your role will be to provide veterans' with mental health support, manage a caseload of complex cases, carry out complex mental health assessments, provide reports and maintain liaison with Medical Officers
This role is to cover a full-time contract of 37.5 hours a week ongoing and is available for an immediate start. As this role is managed via The Ministry of Defence (MOD) you will be required  to complete internal paperwork from MOD prior to starting.
·Carry out complex mental health assessments.
· Recognise limits of competence and seek clinical supervision and/or advice as appropriate.
· Maintain accurate electronic records and clinical notes of all client contact.
· Deliver up to date, evidence-based interventions for mental health problems
·Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Mental Health Role.
·Assessing and planning nursing care requirements
·Building relationships with, reassuring, listening, and talking to patients
·Combating stigma and supporting patients deal with it.
·Administering medication
·Agreeing and reviewing care plans and monitoring progress
·Liaising with doctors, social workers, and other professionals
·Assessing treatment success at case conferences and meetings
·Writing and updating patient records
Nursing certificate and registration with the NMC as RMN
To be eligible for this role, you will need to:
·Registered with the NMC
·Have worked as a Mental Health Nurse with ideally 3 or more years' experience
·Have very good communication skills and work well in a team
